College Essays

Writing an effective college essay is a multi-step process.  What begins as a seed of an idea in the spring of junior year will, if all goes well, blossom into a beautiful essay in the fall of my senior year.  With deep experience in all aspects of this process, I am happy to create a package that suits your needs.

Hourly

This is the a la carte option for help with college essays.  Working on an hourly basis, I can help students with the following:

• Idea generation
• Providing feedback on early drafts
• Proofreading final drafts

The rate is $150 per hour, and I would let you know up front how much to expect in terms of billable time.  Example:  an idea-generation meeting might take 1-2 hours, while providing feedback on a draft might take less than an hour.  

Full Package

For students who want help all the way through the process, this would be the best option.  The full college essay package includes:

• Up to three meetings
• Written feedback on any essay or short answer written in a single college application season (no limit).  Share it with me and I will read it and provide feedback in a timely fashion.
